Services for Students With Learning Disabilities
Academic and Counseling Services


  • Academic Advising/Class Registration:

    Advising and assistance in choosing classes which best meet your learning style
    Early registration for classes each semester

  • Courses and Instruction:

    Developmental education courses for all freshmen students with deficits in areas of Reading, Writing, Math or English. Courses include: Reading Strategies, Developmental Mathematics, Study Strategies for College, and Introduction to College English ( written composition).


  • Test-Taking Services:

    Extended time for exams
    Smaller quieter rooms for test-taking at SAS office


  • Tutoring Services:

    Tutoring through the Academic Success Program in 207 Michael Schwartz Center

  • Individual and small group tutoring for reading, math, writing and selected introductory courses in psychology, sociology, biology, history, physics, etc.
