Registration Information
Following is information
on how to register for classes, how to handle exceptions and whom
to contact for information. Please read this information carefully.

Students who are
not officially registered for a course by published University
deadlines should not be attending classes and will not receive
credit or a grade for the course.

You must register
and make payment of fees before you attend classes.
-
Register for classes
or adjust your schedule using FlashFAST during the scheduled
registration periods. Go to FlashLine
at at www.kent.edu and click on the Student Tools Tab.
-
Use FlashFAST
for registration and fee payment for all eight campuses
of Kent State University.
-
Please be aware
of "Who May Not Register Using
FlashFAST ".

For Fall or
Spring classes, students are assigned a registration window
for preregistration which determines when they may register
for their classes (there is no entry schedule for Summer
registration). After the priority registration window
expires, entry is open to all eligible students at the same
time.

STUDENTS
AND FACULTY AND ADVISORS CAN ALSO ACCESS THE CLASS SCHEDULE SEARCH
IN FLASHFAST BY LOGGING INTO FLASHLINE
AND CLICKING ON THEIR STUDENT TOOLS TAB OR THEIR FACULTY/ADVISOR
TOOLS TAB.
Students
with the following conditions may register after they
have followed the instructions below.

Students who
have not enrolled at Kent State in any of the 3 previous terms,
including Summer: Contact the Office of the University
Registrar, 330-672-3131, at least one week prior to
the registration period to have your file checked before reenrolling
for the current semester.

Any students
admitted for one term only, such as transient: Students
in this category should contact their admitting office for
readmission information.

Students who
have been placed on registration hold will not be permitted
to register for classes until the conditions of the hold are
met. To have a hold released, contact the department
that placed the hold. In FlashFAST, you may view your
holds on the View Holds page, which is accessible from your
Registration Status page.
